This PRIVACY AND COOKIES POLICY takes effect when the user decides to access and register with Addvice, without prejudice to the necessary consent being requested from the data owner.
The privacy and cookies policy is an integral part of the terms and conditions, corresponding to the full compliance with data protection legislation, namely Regulation (EU) No. 2016/679 and Law No. 58/2019, of August 8, which transposes the European rules into the internal legal order.
1. PRIVACY AND COMMITMENT
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) establishes rules for the protection, processing, and free movement of personal data of individuals within the European Union. The protection of personal data must be ensured, regardless of the technology or means used for its collection and processing. In any case, all personal data collected are subject to the protection measures provided for in the GDPR.
Thus, Addvice reserves the right to use and transmit personal data to subcontractors for them to process them on its behalf and on its account, and Addvice will always take necessary contractual measures to ensure that subcontractors comply with and protect the data subject’s personal data in accordance with the law. Addvice may also transmit data to third parties for the pursuit of its purposes and provided that the respect for personal data protection measures is guaranteed.
Addvice treats and retains personal data in accordance with applicable rules and only for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes that motivated its collection and retention, in compliance with the law, closely following the guidance and decisions of CNPD. However, it is noted that situations in which the law requires the retention of data for a minimum period of time, including the obligation to retain commercial correspondence for 10 years or the obligation to retain relevant data for tax purposes, for periods of up to 12 years.
2. DATA CATEGORIES
Addvice collects two types of information: personal information and anonymous information. The collection of anonymized information occurs as the data subject visits the digital platforms and aims to improve their functioning, including content management and prioritization. The collection of personal information occurs when we directly collect personal data from the user, namely when the user contacts Addvice directly.
The collection of personal data may be done orally, in writing, by filling out forms, sending communications by email, or through the use of digital platforms. In any case, all data collected on digital platforms are processed automatically, and the information collected from the data subject is stored and managed in accordance with appropriate security and protection rules.
3. DATA SUBJECT RIGHTS
By providing their personal data to Addvice, the user consents to the processing of their data in accordance with this Privacy Policy. However, it is noted that within the scope and terms of the GDPR and other applicable legislation, the data subject enjoys the following rights: the right to information, access, and rectification or erasure of personal data, the right to data portability, as well as the right to restrict or object to the processing of their data. The exercise of these rights is done through the means of contact identified by Addvice.
At any time, the data subject may withdraw the consent provided for the processing of their personal data, and the revocation will not affect the lawfulness of the processing of personal data carried out until the revocation date.
Finally, it is noted that the data subject may file a complaint or request clarification regarding the processing of their personal data by contacting the National Data Protection Commission (CNPD).
